In accommodating patients, the Scheduler ensures that the patient load is manageable for providers and staff and that the overall schedule is optimized to make use of any available time. They serve as a vital liaison between patients and services at HOPES, ensuring maximum capacity utilization. Through collaborative work with providers and medical assistants, utilizing the Electronic Medical Record, they analyze the schedule to find openings for patients and optimize the overall schedule. By doing so, more patients can receive health care in an efficient, effective manner and utilization is optimized. The successful candidate wil engage in patient relations, performance improvement activities and extensive use of computer, phones and the electronic medical record.
