Position Court Navigator  
Description

We are seeking an accountable, organized, and self-motivated Court Navigator to join our team. This role is crucial in helping individuals involved in the court system access the mental health and substance-use services they need. Working closely with judges, probation officers, and treatment providers, the Court Navigator will guide court-involved individuals through treatment referrals, service coordination, and court compliance support.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with judges, probation officers, and court staff to identify individuals in need of behavioral health services.
  • Conduct brief assessments to determine mental health and substance use treatment needs.
  • Link individuals to appropriate community-based treatment and recovery services.
  • Provide support in navigating access to services, including transportation coordination, appointment scheduling, and paperwork assistance.
  • Track client progress and treatment compliance; provide timely updates to the court and probation officers.
  • Attend court proceedings to provide behavioral health updates and advocate for supportive interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the criminal justice system and behavioral health providers.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree & LSW/LPC required.
  • Experience working with justice-involved populations and/or behavioral health systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
  • Familiarity with court systems or probation processes is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
