Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Remote Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of leading and supervising case management staff in one or more ORR Programs, coordinating case management services, family reunification, working closely with other agencies involved in the minor’s care, and ORR staff. Provides a combination of direct service for assigned cases and remotely provides supervision for identified Case Manager’s and/or Case Aides as a supervisor. The Case Manager Supervisor will oversee a team remotely who is primarily working to help unify unaccompanied children who are residing at Endeavors Children’s Center in Pecos, Texas.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Case Managers and Case Aides for the program:
  • Provide supervision of staff following agency protocol and policy.
  • Implement discipline and termination procedures when needed; monitor and review work performed
  • under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Complete performance appraisals for assigned staff.
  • Ensure all staff are trained as stated in guidelines for program, agency and grant requirements.
  • Provide regular individual supervisory meetings with staff and designated team meetings
  • Provides all services of a case manager for assigned cases and as such is responsible for assessing the
  • needs of UC’s, developing and implementing the case management plan, including providing all the
  • required documentation.
  • Tracks placement-to-release ratios.
  • Oversees all aspects of the UC case
  • Maintain agency chart documentation in accordance with agency and ORR requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality when gathering, documenting, consulting or consolidating information
  • necessary for the case management assessment and the plan of care. Secure release of information
  • from the legal guardian prior to any contact.
  • Maintain regular contact with each UC, UC’s family when possible, and established service providers to
  • communicate case planning and progress.
  • Gather historical and current data relative to completion of a comprehensive case management
  • assessment including, but not limited to, school records, medical records, mental health treatment,
  • legal status and court involvement, social and family strengths and needs, support systems, and
  • specific cultural issues.
  • Oversees work of the case managers and train new case managers to work effectively with UC’s.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff in-service training, department meetings and any other scheduled
  • activities.
  • Collaborates effectively with other program staff to identify and implement quality case management
  • plans.
  • Informs Program Manager and other relevant staff of all information needed for UC placement and
  • transfers. Helps trouble shoot any programmatic issues with Program Manager and Site Leadership.
  • Completes, timely and accurate timesheets and other personnel/administrative records as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields or bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience.

EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English; able to read, write and verbally communicate and

must be 21 years or older.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. Willingness to drive to off-site locations, highly preferred. Able and willing to travel locally, nationally and internationally up to 25-50% of time.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations including Pecos Children’s Center with such frequency as the business need dictates (non-remote). Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
