Description

Centennial Resource Development, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDEV) is seeking an Environmental Analyst in its Midland, TX office. Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Environmental Analyst will perform duties associated with air regulatory and permit compliance. The successful candidate will support implementation of the numerous air programs including Texas and New Mexico Air Permitting, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting, Tier II Reporting, NSPS Subpart JJJJ, and NSPS Subpart OOOO/OOOOa, as well as SPCC and spill remediation.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the environmental team members and helping train and oversee field personnel and contractors as needed to ensure uniformity of implementation and data gathering related to air compliance
  • Supporting the air quality permitting and compliance for the company's production facilities in the Permian Basin
  • Providing support as requested to ensure safety and environmental compliance and culture is maintained throughout CDEV operations
  • This position will report to the HSE Manager and will be responsible for Texas and New Mexico Air Permitting and work closely with SPCC & cleanup lead. The candidate will also work closely with other HSE staff, field operations and facilities staff, and contractors to facilitate air permitting and ensure compliance with federal, state and local air quality regulations
  • This position will also participate in the following activities:
    • NSPS and NESHAP engine compliance including scheduling performance tests, tracking engine moves, and ensuring preventative maintenance documentation is completed to ensure compliance
    • Performing monthly inspections
    • Collecting GHG & Tier II data
    • Implementing permit requirements and recordkeeping
    • Communicating with contractors and operational personnel regarding environmental compliance activities and documentation requirements
    • Supporting regulatory agency inspections
    • Performing pad inspections, equipment inventories, development of site schematics, equipment compliance records, NSPS Subpart OOOO/OOOOa compliance activities and preparing documentation
    • Performing or managing sampling activities and Reference Method 9, Method 21, and Method 22 testing/ monitoring
    • Other HSE initiatives as directed
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Environmental Science or another related field
  • 2-3 years Environmental experience preferred
  • Experience in the oil & gas industry and knowledge of engines, production equipment, and oil field operations preferred
  • Strong organizational and communications skills are essential
  • A strong, team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to work in Microsoft office applications and utilize computer based environmental and O&G data management systems.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to work safely within company and industry safety practices, including comfortably climbing on storage tank cat-walks and being on your feet in the field for most of the working day
  • General knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations (Air Permits, NSPS Subpart OOOO/OOOOa)
  • FLIR Camera or Method 9 Certifications. Experience with Portable Analyzer Training, Method 21, and Method 22
