Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Senior Network Administrator. Reporting to PR's Manager of Infrastructure, this position will be responsible for providing network administration for the Midland, Denver, and all field offices. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to collaborate with both the Infrastructure team as well as the Applications team and communicate effectively throughout the entire Company. The Senior Network administrator will also need to be able to deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and innovative environment.

General responsibilities include:

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, physical security, and monitoring tools
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of network architecture and interdependencies
  • Consults and coordinates network integration for secondary systems, including AV and security.
  • Administers and manages VoIP and collaboration infrastructure
  • Drives to complete work efforts in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Maintains, creates, and audits network documentation
  • Approaches solutions from a customer-centric viewpoint and maintains a positive attitude toward customer issues
  • Identifies, suggests, plans, implements, and documents potential procedural improvements with guidance as required
  • Collaborates with other IT team members to deliver best possible solutions
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related discipline
  • Five (5) years of network administration in an enterprise environment (OSPF, BGP, IPSEC VPN, VoIP, QoS, WAN, Cellular, Satellite, RF, IoT)
  • Five (5) years of experience in firewalls, ideally Check Point, other top vendors
  • Five (5) years of experience with Cisco technologies, Juniper, Extreme, etc.
  • Proven methodology for troubleshooting issues
  • Proven ability to work independently or as a team to approach problems creatively and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel including executive leadership, senior management, users, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Experience with security audits and managing security solutions
  • Experience at a publicly held company with SOX requirements is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline is preferred
