Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support in our Midland, TX office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities engineering design, a creative problem-solving mindset, and the ability to successfully work in multi-disciplinary teams. The Facilities Engineer must be willing to drive to our Pecos, TX, operations on a regular basis as well as provide support to our operations near Hobbs, NM.

General Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute and manage the installation of wellsite facilities, pipelines electrical distribution and other projects within budgeted cost and schedule constraints
  • Collaborate with the multidiscipline asset team to ensure planned projects align
  • Work with operations to troubleshoot on site oil and gas production facility equipment, provide recommendations and implement changes to future designs in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage additional facilities initiatives such as evaluation of new technology, cost reduction, industry comparisons or evaluation of strategic business development opportunities.
  • Make frequent visits to the field and closely manage construction project from start to finish
  • Ensure all regulatory, environmental and safety compliance issues are met
  • Display leadership of Centennial EH&S programs by demonstrating safe work practices, adhering to best practices and guidelines, and strictly following all applicable Federal, State, County and local laws and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience specific in oil and gas activities, such as gathering, liquids handling, production battery operation, oil and gas separation equipment and field operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering or equivalent field of study
  • Specific experience in facilities design and project management is required
  • Experience with compression, oil & gas conditioning facilities is advantageous
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Applicants should possess strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills and have the ability to excel in a fast-paced development area and diverse team environment with minimal supervision
