Description

Job Description:

Pricing and margin management. Work with and assist the Financial Planning Director in all analysis activities including daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc reporting, annual financial planning process, sales forecasting process, sales team compensation planning and tracking, SG&A analysis, and manufacturing production/inventory reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare & maintain margin analytics to help manage profitability across all business
  • Assist all businesses on pricing and create reports to monitor pricing implementation
  • Manage pricing for current and new customers
  • Provide pricing support on new product lines
  • Assist Financial Analyst with management of Microsoft Power BI reporting tool
  • Assist in the annual process to update Profile's salesperson compensation plans.
  • Create models to revise geographic territories, update product eligibility, and set commission rates.
  • Assist with the revision and distribution of updated compensation plan documents to plan participants.
  • Prepare quarterly commission reports for sales reps
  • Prepare, review, and distribute sales forecasting models to Profile's Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Track the completion and consolidate the forecasted volumes to assist in Profile's budgeting process.
  • Assist Financial Planning Manager with monthly sales forecasts for manufacturing and senior mgmt.

  • Determine sales volume plan by working with field reps and senior management
  • Provide manufacturing team sales volumes to include in production budget
  • Work with business managers and senior management to create pricing plan
  • SG&A Budget
  • Provide managers T&E budget file - Review with Senior Mgmt.
  • Create marketing and R&D budget files
  • Work closely with both teams to complete budget
  • Update Admin and Sales & Marketing SG&A file
  • Reach out to managers for any incremental YOY spend
  • Update financial models that will be used to report results each month
  • Help create the budget presentation deck
  • Assist in creating budget book for internal team and board of directors
  • Prepare and review SG&A analysis including Marketing spending versus plan and R&D spending versus plan
  • Investigate variances and be able to provide explanations
  • Analyze the sales, production and inventory levels of Profile's third-party production and distribution centers in Sanger, CA and Sumner, WA.
  • Assist in monthly production planning, slow-moving inventory analysis, and weekly review calls with third-party vendors as needed.
 
Position Requirements

  • Specialized, technical skills to include financial analysis and data mining and manipulation.
  • Ability to apply complex business rules to Excel-based raw data dumps.
  • Must question issues with reporting and won’t simply take information at "Face Value"

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a must with a focus on Excel along with an ability to learn and utilize advanced Excel techniques
  • such as Pivot Tables, Data Sorting, and self calculating report creation using formulas such as SUM, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, & IF statements
  • Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, CRM, SQL server database, and JD Edwards.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, speak English; proficiency in Spanish not required but is a plus
