Facilities Coordinator

Description

The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for providing support services to the credit union, including general office and courier services to various locations as directed. Additionally, they will play a cross-functional role in supporting Physical Security and Fire Life Safety functions for the credit union.
 

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and ensures contractor compliance including but not limited to: landscape, janitorial, HVAC, carpet, and elevator.
  • Coordinates and tracks contracts for janitorial, grounds maintenance, fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers and waste disposal at all branches.
  • Assists in bid specifications for the credit union and helps in the implementation of contracts.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for the Staples office supply website and manages authorized users and order approvers.
  • Responsible for the storeroom at the Orangeburg Administration Office.
  • Takes the lead with the receiving of deliveries from vendors such as FedEx, UPS and USPS at the Orangeburg Administration Offices.
  • Responsible for stocking restrooms, lunchrooms, and supply closet at Orangeburg Administration Offices.
  • Works as liaison between department/branch managers and vendors for maintenance needs at each branch and building location.
  • Schedules regular branch visits to ensure all is in order and functioning consistently across all departments.
  • Escorts and monitors vendors when working in secure areas.
  • Tracks, via computer, such items as: the recording of newly acquired furniture and equipment, the transfer of all recorded equipment, the retention and/or destruction of records held within the warehouse, and other tracking input, as needed.
  • Drives vehicle to transport items such as supply orders to various branch locations as needed.
  • Stores and retrieves files. Shreds documents and scans documents, as assigned and serves as main point of contact for shred vendor.
  • Other assignments that may need the employee's expertise and/or knowledge to facilitate the completion of a task or project.
  • Works closely with the Loss Prevention/Security Department to ensure buildings, areas and grounds are safe for employees and visitors.
  • Cross trained in physical security programs & fire life safety functions.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Adheres to all security procedures and regulatory guidelines for Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Maintains confidentiality of current, past, and potential members and their personal and financial information.
  • Assists with monitoring expenses and strives for ways to implement cost-saving actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains an organized workspace and implements organizational processes to streamline operational functions.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Associate degree, or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school preferred.
  • Two to five years of previously related experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license with excellent driving record and method of transportation.

Pay Range and Schedule:

  • This position is a Grade 7, with a pay rate ranging from $20.62 - $30.93 per hour
    • The anticipated pay rate for new hires is between the low-end and midpoint of the range, depending on experience
    • The pay rates listed above are based upon the geographic location of our Administrative Offices in Modesto, CA using the greater Central Valley area for our pay range calculations
  • Full Time, typically 36-40 hours per week
  • Schedule will be based around business hours of operation
    • Monday to Friday
    • Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, typically with advance notice

  • Technical aptitude to understand complex programs and applications.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, accurate and ability to adapt to change. Excellent decision making and time management skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to trouble-shoot problems and research capabilities of current or proposed products.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds
  • Climb/descend stairs in an emergency situation and to transport items between departments and locations
  • Operate routine office equipment including personal computers, copy machines, mobile and landline phones, calculator and others as needed
  • Maintain working on a computer for six to eight hours daily, on average
  • Work extended hours if required or requested by management
  • Regular, reliable and timely attendance

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
