Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Maintenance Technician  Description Maintenance Technician Star Extruded Shapes Inc./Star Fab Inc. is a locally owned aluminum extrusion company with more than 40 years in business. We are looking to add a highly motivated multicraft maintenance technician at our Canfield, Ohio location. This individual will be responsible for the preventative electrical maintenance and repair of equipment in an extrusion facility. Candidate should have familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, stick / mig welding, combustion gas furnaces, single phase and 3-phase electrical systems, and preventative maintenance techniques. Applicants must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and safety conscious. Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshooting issues on aluminum extrusion presses and auxiliary equipment and machinery including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, etc. Inspecting and diagnosing any potential issues with plant equipment Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment and machinery Replacing defective parts on machinery and electrical equipment Performing machine and equipment installation Ensuring maintenance safety standards are being met Make electrical repairs on machinery and building as needed. Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, etc.) Willingness to work off shift, weekends, and holidays (as needed) Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing or extrusion is a plus.
