Their monument division produces granite memorials and markers, custom granite signage, and engraved brick pavers, and they also engage in wholesale monument sales. Position Overview: Responsible for overseeing the daily precasting operations of monuments, including reading precast orders to determine form specifications, setting up reusable steel forms, or crafting custom forms from 2x6 lumber as required. Collaborate with team members to pour concrete into forms and meticulously hand-finish the concrete to meet established standards. The subsequent day involves stripping forms, conducting thorough inspections for defects in the finished product, and palletizing precast monuments for placement in designated areas.   Position Requirements Key Responsibilities: Form Setup: Interpret precast orders to determine the appropriate number and size of forms needed. Set up reusable steel forms or construct custom forms from 2x6 lumber to meet specific precast requirements. Concrete Pouring: Collaborate with team members to pour concrete into forms, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications. Finishing Touch: Hand-finished poured concrete to meet set quality standards, demonstrating attention to detail and craftsmanship. Inspection: Strip forms the following day and conduct thorough inspections of the finished products to identify and rectify any defects. Palletization: Systematically palletize the finished precast monuments and place them in preassigned areas, ensuring efficient organization and storage. Additional Responsibilities: Vault Manufacturing: Assist in vault manufacturing activities as needed, contributing to overall production efficiency. Training: Undergo training as a monument setter and LDL blaster to acquire additional skills. Execute setting or LDL jobs that fall outside the normal scheduling parameters. This role demands a meticulous approach to precasting procedures, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the flexibility to contribute to related tasks as part of a collaborative team effort. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent organizational and communication skills. The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
