Is seeking a highly-skilled mechanical technician to assist our engineering and manufacturing teams. Internally, you will be working with Engineering staff to ensure mechanical designs are built to specifications, and working with Manufacturing staff to complete product and prototype assembly. You will also assist with mechanical and fabrication activities for a wide range of R&D. Externally, you will be interfacing with vendors and suppliers to drive forward mechanical fabrication activities. To ensure success as a mechanical technician, you should exhibit solid knowledge of mechanical systems and mechanical fabrication. Previous Experience with electromechanical products, fabrication, and/or assembly will be valuable. Mechanical Technician Responsibilities: Assisting electrical and mechanical engineers with mechanical design, fabrication, and maintenance tasks. Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems. Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs. Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical records. Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies. Interfacing with mechanical vendors to expedite outside manufacturing and fabrication. Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment. Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.   Position Requirements A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry. Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT), is a plus. Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering design, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs. Proficiency with mechanical design and fabrication, including CAD software. Ability to read and revise technical documentation and mechanical drawings. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Great organizational and time management abilities. Willingness to perform mechanical tasks outside of business hours, when needed.
