Description

The successful candidate will demonstrate potential to expand Fiore's marketspace through constant customer engagements focused on gaining and building customer trust and credibility. Candidates must show proven business development experience (at least 3+ years). Ideally, candidates will have a functional knowledge of all Services (Air Force and Navy desired), to include Special Operations components. The candidate must also demonstrate successful performance leading business development, capture, and proposal teams to win large DoD opportunities, while developing an enabling pipeline designed for aggressive growth.

  • Developing, maintaining and growing an extensive network of relationships, with both existing and potential customers, throughout the DoD focused on growth and cultivate relationships with potential partners in industry and academia
  • Lead sales/business development with responsibility for $125M+ in annual sales
  • Identify, shape, and manage strategic opportunities that support business growth objectives
  • Identify, structure, and lead capture of new opportunities by leveraging internal research and development investments, enabling new capabilities or offerings to DOD clients and other organizations
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence on market segments where the BU is engaged, as well as insights on competition specific to individual opportunities
  • Participate, collaborate, and/or lead capture and proposal teams to establish overall proposal strategies and themes which clearly differentiate from other potential providers of service
  • Assisting in the efficient and effective use of marketing resources across multiple customer organizations
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in DoD organizations, with a preference for Engineering or Science-related technical degrees
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a sales organization ($125M + annual sales)
  • Demonstrated ability to win contract opportunities in the Federal space
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate a business development/sales team
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of DoD PPDE process including acquisition certifications
  • Existing network of contacts within the DoD and the ability to leverage these into qualified business opportunities
  • Knowledge of competitors in this market space and experience in competitive assessment; experience in developing large government proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical presentations to internal and external customers and the ability to participate on proposal teams
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a government security clearance

 

Desired

  • Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in a technical, business, or strategic discipline
  • Experience selling consulting/engineering/manufacturing services
  • Experience with Microsoft Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Extensive Military experience with thorough knowledge of all Services (Air Force and/or Navy essential) along with Joint experience
  • Experience with major weapons platforms and established relationships with providers of those weapons platforms
  • Current Top-Secret Security Clearance
