When operating a machine, the machine operator must also be able to supervise a machine crew, maintain product quality, and meet production deadlines. Specific Duties: Advanced working knowledge of most bindery machines and general working knowledge of all bindery machines Set up bindery machines according to job specifications Perform basic maintenance on machines during down time Repair common problems and troubleshoot when machinery is down Ensure machine crew performs job responsibilities correctly and in a timely manner Submit work samples to the bindery supervisor for approval Produce work that meets company quality standards Follow the production schedule for job order and deadlines Communicate with bindery supervisor concerning job priority Communicate with bindery supervisor when any issue prevents job run time Maintain proper job and machine records Train new employees   Position Requirements Follow written instructions Communicate instructions to others Detail oriented Knowledge and use of hand tools and power tools Read a ruler in inches and millimeters Basic computer skills Basic math skills Able to lift and pull up to 75 pounds Starting pay is $18-$22/hr based on experience.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Bindery Operator   Number of Openings 2   Location Democrat Printing & Litho   This position is currently not accepting applications.
