Operator Assistants must also conduct routine quality checks, keep work areas clean, and complete hand work assignments. Specific Duties: Load pockets for the stitcher, perfect binder, and polybag machines Keep bundles open at all times and watch pocket mirrors for skipped signatures Keep workspace at the machines clean by stacking bundle boards neatly on a skid, putting ropes into boxes, emptying the reject trays Carton, strap, brick stack, or mail sort books as completed Quality check for even trim, stitches, scratches, and marks Clean up after completed jobs by stacking leftover signatures, boxing leftover inserts, and removing all trash and recyclable items Hand sort rejected signatures Complete handwork tasks such as First Class and BPM mailings as assigned Operate the strapper, perforator, drill, box maker, and hand stitcher   Position Requirements Follow written instructions Detail oriented Zip sort mail by postal regulations lift and pull 30 pounds Able to stand on concrete, bend, stoop, and lift for the entire work shift Must pass pre-employment drug test 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Sunday night-Friday morning Active Drivers license Education: High school graduate preferred Must be able to read, write, measure and calculate Job Type: Full-time Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Bindery Assistant Operator   Number of Openings 3   Location Democrat Printing & Litho   This position is currently accepting applications.
