Jefferson Outpatient Imaging is looking for an Ultrasound Supervisor to oversee our Sonographers throughout our PA and NJ locations. This person will supervise and coordinate clinical operations of the Ultrasound Department including, but not limited to, equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial, and customer service functions. This person will ensure services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements and serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs/ensures proper training, and ongoing competency, and documentation of such for new employees within area of responsibility, and completes and delivers regular, timely, and meaningful performance feedback, evaluations, and goals to direct reports.
Works with and as an extension of the Administrator/Director/Clinical Manager to oversee/develop and implement programs and strategies which address/ensure proper staffing levels, recruitment of workforce, proper orientation, and training of new employees, on time completion and delivery of performance evaluations, and effective coordination of daily activities.
Provides regular, timely and meaningful performance feedback to direct reports during regular meetings & the evaluation process. Properly documents feedback discussion as they occur.
Actively supports organizational goals by establishing regular meetings with direct reports to discuss and develop strategies to measure and track results and achieve success.
Maintains department inventory, monitors supply costs, orders routine supplies, and/or ensures the same of an employee that is a direct report.
Performs and documents ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement activities for areas of responsibilities.
Achieves organizational patient satisfaction goal and ensures self and staff demonstrate consistent use of approved organization methods when interacting with patients/customer. Facilitates prompt follow up and creates action plan to address and implement training and/or other strategies to improve patient satisfaction service line scores.
Some travel will be required to our locations throughout PA and NJ
Skills/Abilities:
Skill in operation of Ultrasound equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
Ability to work independently and multitask.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology,
and medical terminology.
Experience:
Must have five years’ experience working in medical imaging. Supervisor or Management experience required.
Must have knowledge of all areas of Ultrasound functions as needed for supervision of staff.
License Requirements:
Must be certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and maintain current valid registration.
BLS certification required.
