General Description

The Family Support Services Program Manager is responsible for the direction, implementation, supervision and evaluation of program services and staff. The Program Manager oversees quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the program ensuring activities are trauma informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with FSA's mission. Job duties include program coordination, supervision, and compliance with grants and contract requirements. The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting an atmosphere that is conducive to teamwork, self-care and a productive work environment. The Program Manager customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgement in the performance of all duties. The Program Manager directly supervises Santa Maria Family Support Services staff, including the Family Outreach Advocate Supervisor.

Specific Duties

    • Provide supervision and direction for the Family Support Services program
          • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
          • Recruit, hire, and supervise program staff for Santa Maria.
          • Direct services and identify opportunities for program expansion and growth
    • Coordinate and collaborate with FSS regional supervisors, directors, and managers to support county-wide continuity, best practices, and programmatic efficacy.
    • Oversee development of client cases and maintenance of case records in accordance with contractual expectations, ethical and legal standards of practice, and FSA policy.
    • Supervise program educators to support successful execution of educational activities/curriculums (e.g., parenting classes, budgeting classes, etc.).
    • Understand and oversee implementation of all program curriculums.
    • Ensure contractual expectations and program targets are met and that services provided are within scope of practice.
    • Supervise collection of statistical evaluation data and prepare written reports in conjunction with project partners, and the Continuous Quality Improvement team.

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate

  • This is a full-time, exempt position, with benefits. (Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts and 403(b) retirement plan. Generous vacation, holiday and sick leave also offered.)
  • Pay rate is dependent upon experience.
 
Position Requirements

Employment Standards

    • BA required, MA preferred in social work, child development, public administration, business, or related field.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
    • Experience in program management, staff supervision, budget operations and oversight, data tracking and analysis.
    • Familiarity with community resources and knowledge of early education and childhood development.
    • Computer and Internet literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; can adapt to using various types of software.
