Share Email Opening Title East Race Driver & Rafting Attendant - Seasonal  Open Date 2/28/2020   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Bargaining / Non-Bargaining Non-Bargaining   Division Venues Parks and Arts   Location Recreational Experiences   Reports To Supervisor-Fitness   Schedule Varied hours: Tuesday, 5:00-8:00 pm; Saturday, 11:30 am-5:30 pm; and Sunday, 11:30 am-4:30 pm. Schedule is subject to vary based on departmental needs.   Pay Rate $14.00-$16.00/hr.   Description SUMMARY Drive Venues Parks & Arts (VPA) department vehicles used to haul rafting equipment. Load and unload trucks, and distribute rafts and other equipment during East Race rafting hours and rentals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected. • Haul rafting equipment at the East Race using department vehicles. • Load and unload rafts. • Pull rafts from the East Race course and load them onto trucks for delivery back to head gates. • Hand out rafts and equipment to patrons, making sure lifejacket and helmets are worn correctly. • May need to assist lifeguards. CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION • Valid Driver’s License required. EQUIPMENT Truck, trailers, non-slip shoes. WORK ENVIRONMENT East Race Waterway, noise level moderate to loud. Employee works primarily in an outdoor environment in all type weather conditions.
