General Description

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory Associate performs a variety of inventory control job duties to that ensure inventory control levels remain balanced. Job duties include operating a forklift, inventory management/control, performing physical job tasks, effective communication with multiple teams, and inputting/maintaining database records for the Company

Esssential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs and oversees regular warehouse audits, and physical cycle counting, using SOPs, offering input/recommendations for inventory system improvements to management.

  • Helps to test, create, update SOPs related to inventory management/control; other areas within the warehouse operation upon request.

  • Compiles and maintains records of all stock and materials in the warehouse and prepares evaluation report.

  • Focuses on reduction or maintaining of very low inventory adjustments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Analyzes the stock control records and information such as consumption rate, velocity, characteristics of items in storage, and if product SKUs need to be moved around for efficiency purposes.

  • Assists with annual physical inventory and reconciliation process and prepares reports for management review.

  • Conducts daily cycle counting of inventory on a scheduled or ad hoc basis.

  • Performs Data Entry with extreme attention to detail in Inventory Management software to ensure all inventory quantity, description, SKUs, UPCs, Bin Locations, Upstocks, etc. are recorded, accurate and updated.

  • Comprehensively investigates any inventory discrepancies related to order processing, shipping, or mis-shipments reported by Customers and Vendor partners.

  • Communicates frequently with pertinent team-members to exchange or verify information regarding products, product information, discrepancies discovered, or other warehouse information requested.

  • Prioritizes any potential issues related to Customer shipments and understands that our Customers are of top priority.

  • Operates forklift and moves shipments from receiving platform to storage areas using to proper safety rules for forklift operations to stock and restock warehouse items. Neatly stocks inventory of goods in the warehouse, advising management of cycle count issues on a timely basis.

  • Sets a leading example to the team of how product should be stored, transferred, handled by all team-members.

  • Evaluates the proper replenishment stock levels for all SKUs, including Bin Locations, Overstocks, or other internal or external warehouse locations.

  • Prepares merchandise labels and attaches them to products.

  • Assists management in recycling materials in the warehouse. Complies and maintains records of quantities, type of product, value of supplies and merchandise; Recommends disposal of excess or unused stock to Management.

  • Contacts carrier representatives to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of products/merchandise and communicates with vendors/suppliers regarding delivery delays/problems if requested.

  • Prepares freight quotes as needed.

  • Be ready and willing to help unload, unpack and check incoming shipments as asked upon.

  • Assist in picking, packing, receiving or other areas within the Warehouse Operations as called upon and based on the needs of the Company.

  • Meet or exceed all KPI Metrics set forth by Warehouse Management or Sr. Management.

  • Supports and adheres to Company policies, work rules and safety rules, including good housekeeping protocols for work area.

  • Continually strives to perform job duties in a manner that achieves quality work standards.

  • Attends warehouse meetings and mandatory training sessions as required.

  • Maintaining a satisfactory attendance/punctuality record is an essential job duty for this position.

  • Performs other warehouse and job-related duties, work assignments, and special projects as directed by warehouse supervisor or Sr. management.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Microsoft Office and Google Office Applications proficient
  • Ability to operate standard warehouse and office equipment, materials and tools
  • Forklift Certifications or experience for sit-down and stand-up forklift (current or to be recertified)
  • 1+ years of inventory-related experience.
  • Ability to lift, carry and move 50 pounds.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Admirable customer service skills.
  • Strict attention to details.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Multi-tasking ability and a fast learner.
  • Can work well under extreme pressure and deadlines.
  • Must have impressive attendance profile.
  • Must be available to work long hours if necessary.
  • Committed availability to participate in company-sponsored events.
