About the Organization Incorporated in 1985, Fountainhead Development, Inc., (FDI), specializes in property management and is the largest privately owned hotelier in Alaska. FDI owns and operates Sophie Station Suites, Wedgewood Resort and the Bear Lodge. Each of these properties offers guest accommodations, fine dining establishments and a variety of guest services. Our commercial properties include holdings in excess of 540,000 square feet of rental space, which we manage, lease and maintain. This diversified corporation is also involved in the construction industry with a year round operation developing commercial properties.


Fountainhead Development, Inc. owns and operates the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum, a collection that features over 84 American made antique automobiles and showcases the interesting heritage of the automobile during Alaska's post-Gold Rush era. Several autos are the only models of their marques known to remain.


In addition, FDI has a Wildlife Sanctuary at Wedgewood, which is a peaceful, 75-acre reserve that is home to an impressive variety of interior Alaska's wildlife. The sanctuary, a model wetlands restoration project, offers nature trails and observation decks.

Description

ESI is a sister company that designs, develops, and builds quality, innovative worksite products for the oil, mining, construction, and agriculture industries while also distributing and servicing Kubota Tractor products.

Founded in 2000, ESI began as a heater reconditioning company for the North Slope oil fields. Based on their experience bringing new life to old heaters, the ES700 heater was designed and put into production in 2001. Since then ESI has continued a tradition of innovative designs for extreme industrial applications.

The Marketing Manager is a position integral to the success of Fountainhead and Equipment Source, Inc. (ESI). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun, professional, and rewarding environment on a wide variety of marketing disciplines.

Summary: Plan, direct, and coordinate advertising policies and programs and produce collateral materials, such as posters, pamphlets and coupons, to create extra interest in the purchase of products and services, and to maintain a favorable public image. Employ search marketing tactics to increase visibility and engagement with content, products, and services in Internet-enabled devices or interfaces. Examine search query behaviors on general or specialty search engines or other Internet-based content. Analyze research, data, and technology to understand user intent and measure outcomes for ongoing optimization.

Duties:

  • Manage print, radio, social media advertising
  • Manage graphic design production
  • Manage and update website content and photography
  • Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of hotel rooms and equipment, working with customers, company managers, and advertising agencies
  • Gather and organize information to plan advertising campaigns
  • Confer with department managers to provide marketing or technical advice
  • Confer with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised
  • Prepare budgets and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development, and review and approve monthly marketing expenditures
  • Prepare and negotiate advertising and sales contracts
  • Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts
  • Direct and coordinate product research and development
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and community events to promote products
  • Collect and analyze Web metrics, such as visits, time on site, page views per visit, transaction volume and revenue, traffic mix, click-through rates, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, or cost per click
  • Identify appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report key metrics from digital campaigns
  • Assist in setting up or optimizing analytics tools for tracking visitors' behaviors
  • Coordinate with developers to optimize Web site architecture, or page construction for search engine consumption and optimal visibility
  • Conduct online marketing initiatives, such as paid ad placement, affiliate programs, sponsorship programs, email promotions, or viral marketing campaigns on social media Web sites
  • Participate in the development or implementation of online marketing strategy
  • Optimize digital assets, such as text, graphics, or multimedia assets, for search engine optimization (SEO) or for display and usability on internet-connected devices
  • Assist with developing social media strategy
  • Manage and create content for social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Monitor social media trends and implement when appropriate
  • Manage tracking and reporting of search-related activities and provide analysis
  • Optimize Web site exposure by analyzing search engine patterns to direct online placement of keywords or other content
  • Optimize Web site conversion rates against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Evaluate new emerging media or technologies and make recommendations for their application within Internet marketing or search marketing campaigns
 
Position Requirements

Education, Knowledge and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing required
  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License required
  • Current driving record sufficient to meet company insurance standards required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills that include the ability to listen to, read, understand, write and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, train and respond; effectively conveying information to others, and giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as data entry, managing documents and records, and other office procedures and technology
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources
  • Able to present and communicate in a professional manner
  • Able to learn, understand and use computer software and hardware, including proficiency in Windows/Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, Pro DC)
  • Able to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision; identifying what needs to be done and following through without instruction to meet or exceed goals
  • Able to prioritize and effectively manage time to complete tasks, thoroughly, accurately and timely
  • Able to monitor/assess performance of yourself, other individuals, and the organization to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Able to troubleshoot; determine causes of operating errors and decide best course of action
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Able to perform with sufficient physical ability and mobility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of computer keyboard; to travel to other locations; to verbally communicate to exchange information; to see and hear within a reasonable range for an office environment with or without correction.
