EHS Technologies is seeking qualified Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) to provide customer support in the assessment, design, and development of training programs and curricula. The design of curricula is accomplished according to customer and program objectives, using the principles of adult learning theories, applicable learning technologies and industry best practices for instructional design.
Responsibilities
Develop training products using the principles of Instructional Systems Design, adult learning theory, appropriate learning technologies and industry best practices for instructional design.
Conduct needs assessment and recommend learning and knowledge management solutions.
Conduct needs analysis and assessments to determine the appropriate content.
Create course content, materials, and assessments that meet specified learning objectives and goals.
Create learning assessments (Tests and Test Plans) in accordance with the principles of Instructional Systems Design, adult learning theory, appropriate learning technologies and industry best practices for instructional design.
Select appropriate learning media to meet learning needs.
Design and develop Interactive Multimedia Instruction products
Develop storyboards
Assess the instructional effectiveness of course materials and analysis data provided by external sources.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of instructional design through research and self-development.
Provide quality assurance of internal training products
Electronically back up and maintain accurate records of files for previously produced work.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or two or more years of related field experience in training, education or instructional design.
Comprehensive understanding of Learning Theories, and current practices and techniques used with the systematic approach to instructional design.
Ability to read, interpret, organize and synthesize source material into well-written, concise learning and knowledge assets
Technical proficiency with the Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) II, AIM/System and Content Planning Module (CPM), and AIM/Learning Object Module (LOM) software applications.
Ability to apply the Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) principles and guidelines for the design and development of training products.
Ability to develop and apply Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) data to courseware development.
Ability to assess and close Gaps in training and learning products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to effectively communicate directly with clients.
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Computer programs.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to learn and establish a working knowledge of the terminology used in the military and use this information in the development of training materials.
Comprehensive knowledge of Naval Education Training (NAVEDTRA) 130 series Doctrine, Naval Education Training Commend (NETC) JDTA and Front End Analysis (FEA) process and of US Naval ship systems is preferred.
Requirements
Must be a US citizen and currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Work location
Positions are available in the Greater Philadelphia PA and Hampton Roads VA regions.
