Become a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Skill Creations, Inc., a nonprofit agency helping people with disabilities meet their personal goals. The DSP works in the individual’s home and/or in a community setting, providing care according to the specific needs and goals of the individuals.
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Job Description:
Provide support to a cool college student who likes goofing around and hanging out downtown. His interests include chess, video games, and bike riding. A day with this individual may include walking his dog, eating Duck Doughnuts, and assisting with physical therapy exercises. Potential to be super fun and rewarding.
Hands-on duties will include:
- Assisting with ambulation, eating/drinking
- Providing transport and company out in the community
- Doing leisure activities together
- Supporting him in achieving his personal goals
Location:
North Asheville, near UNCA
Hours:
Part time or full time.
Summer job with option to continue on with other clients.
