Department: Trust & Wealth Management

Reports To: SVP/Chief Trust & Investment Officer

Summary: Manages all aspects of Keweenaw Financial Corporation shareholder relationships with superior customer service, including communications, registration, dividend payment, and reporting. Responsible for the planning and oversight of all shareholder events.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior customer service to shareholders
    • Maintain strong relationships
    • Meet with clients via telephone, virtually or in-person, as required
  • Coordinate shareholder communication and mailings
    • Post weekly shareholder communication and follow-up by processing trades
    • Coordinate and organize proxy mailing
  • Event planning for annual meeting (Spring) and shareholder party (Fall)
  • Trade settlement and maintaining accurate shareholder records
  • Work closely with Accounting Department and maintain accuracy of quarterly dividend payments
  • Process various types of shareholder registrations, re-registrations and gifting
  • Responsible for shareholder 1099-DIV, 1099-B and annual statements
  • Responsible for monthly Trust & Wealth Management reporting
    • Shareholder listings, pricing, historical stock transactions, tracking trade volume, hours spent by department employees, etc.
  • Quarterly reporting for Officers and Board of Directors
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of in-house training program
  • Experience in finance desired
  • Experience in shareholder or investor relations desired
  • Ability to cross-sell
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
