Summary:

Leads transactional team in executing accurate transactions and delivery of superior customer service. Is responsible for training and performance management of the tellers/universal bankers. Performs transactional service delivery and account opening alongside team.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead team in the delivery of exceptional customer service and accurate transaction processing.
  • Complete transactions for customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and loan payments, processing wires, and counting and verifying of currency.
  • Open new accounts and onboard new customers.
  • Support digital banking channels, including mobile and online banking.
  • Be knowledgeable of bank wide product offerings, and make recommendations to customers to deepen relationships.
  • Lead team to identify and deter fraud and elder abuse.
  • Work with branch manager to execute branch audit program.
  • Train new employees in accordance with internal teller training programs.
  • Create team schedule and approve employee timecards.
  • Balance, maintain, and respond to after-hours calls for the ATM
  • First line troubleshooting of bank equipment.
  • Be on call list to respond to after-hours alarms
  • Supervise tellers including the management of daily duties, service standards, personal development, and discipline.
  • Interview applicants for open teller/universal banker positions.
  • Understand and follow bank/department regulations, policies, and procedures, and participate in all compliance-related training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience a must
  • Successful completion of in-house training program

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands or arms, occasionally move up to 25 pounds, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Talk, hear, write, read, type, understand technical manuals, manipulate numbers, and communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and via letter/e-mail
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments, and deal with frequent and/or multiple interruptions
  • Learn duties/tasks in a reasonable amount of time
  • Perceive clearly at both close and long range, and possess adequate peripheral vision, depth perception, color distinction, and focusing ability
