JOB SUMMARY:

Vinfast Field Service Technicians provide on-site professional vehicle systems technical support to Vinfast's dealer network. FSTs have broad responsibilities including vehicle diagnostic and repair support, providing an avenue for escalated cases, product problem resolution and territory management support for Vinfast. The primary FST objective is to diagnose and direct repairs on customer vehicles that Dealer Service Technicians are unable to resolve or are trending towards quality problems. FSTs will provide Vinfast Service Center service readiness feedback and early training on emerging technical support issues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Conduct vehicle CAN analysis and utilize flashing tools such as Vector Canoe and VFlash
  • Utilize OBD based diagnostics tools and possess the knowledge to resolve vehicle system issues based on DTCs reported
  • Use issue tracking tools such as JIRA and fleet management software to identify vehicle system software versions or update success.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with Service center managers and technicians in the region
  • Conduct ad-hoc in-Service Center product training sessions, which can include technical information on upcoming System software releases, new feature implementations or debug capabilities.
  • Take ownership of Service Technician's concerns and use effective problem resolution skills
  • For officially dispatched cases, address service center technician problem resolution needs via phone or at the service center location.
  • Report on service center's "Quality of Service" relative to overall service readiness
  • Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the Vinfast Aftersales team and field Service team; prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future timelines
  • Have flexibility to provide support to dealers in your region and outside region, as required
 
Position Requirements
  • Technical automotive background as a Master Service Technician
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working with Electric Vehicles, preferred
  • Proven ability to lead by example and be innovative with processes and efficiencies
  • Analytical ability to understand and impact key performance indicators
  • Strong problem solving skills to fix issues when they arise, and understand why and how they happened
  • Ability to motivate a team, to engage and facilitate others to achieve goals and succeed
  • Digitally savvy – ability to adopt and adapt quickly to new technology and systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Performs well in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Perform and lead well under pressure
  • Valid Driving License
  • Up to 75% travel

 

VinFast Auto is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The pay range for this position is $90,000-$120,000.
