We are committed to being a church that reflects the passion of God, and our mission is to pursue people at all cost, so they can KNOW Jesus, GROW in Him, and SERVE Him daily.   Category Coordinator   Description OVERVIEW OF POSITION The Special Needs Ministry (Embrace) Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating Sunday morning ministry by leading ministry teams of volunteers. In addition, they will support another designated ministry that is to be determined. RESPONSIBILITIES Encourage, train, and lead Sunday morning volunteers including team leads, teachers, pals. Ensure consistency in implementation of curriculum and ministry programming. Onsite recruitment of volunteers including representing Embrace in partnership classes and other connect/serve events. Serve as an ambassador for Embrace in prayer meetings, the lobby, and ministry gatherings. Maintain safe ministry environments by inspecting and coordinating the replacing of equipment. Prepare weekly classroom/curriculum materials. Manage distribution of classroom/curriculum supplies and volunteer gear (t-shirts, badges, etc.) Assist with development and implementation of DISCOVER, the outreach ministry of Embrace that utilizes Discovery Bible Study to reach young adults in Austin. Develop and implement social media campaign to promote Embrace and community events. Assist with planning, implementation, and execution of special events. Maintain excellent communication with volunteers and Austin Ridge staff.       Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Mature faith and vibrant relationship with Jesus that models a life of enthusiasm, integrity, servant-leadership, prayer, and commitment to God’s Word. Enthusiasm for leading and shepherding volunteers. Strong interpersonal skills. General knowledge and experience working with individuals with special needs. Ability to work on multiple tasks, be flexible, and work with little supervision. Strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
