Duties: Receive luggage and mark for delivery to rooms Deliver luggage to rooms in a timely manner Maintain awareness of and work to ensure guest comfort and security May assist with laundry and housekeeping duties as needed (to include washing and folding laundry, stripping linens from rooms, vacuuming, making beds, etc.) Communicate and work effectively with all members of the crew Communicate with other hotel departments and shifts as need to meet guest’s needs and maintain smooth operation of hotel functions May operate company vehicle All other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Education, Knowledge and Skills: Some positions may require a valid Alaska driver’s license Some positions may require a driving record sufficient to meet company insurance standards Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, to include assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction Strong oral communication skills, to include effectively conveying information with others, and giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Able to complete tasks in a timely manner Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assisted, including up and down stairs Able to perform with sufficient physical ability and mobility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to perform physical activities that include use of legs, arms, fingers; to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, reach, twist, tug, push and pull; to operate luggage and/or office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of computer keyboard; to travel to other locations; to verbally communicate to exchange information; to see and hear within a reasonable range for a resort property environment with or without correction.
