Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for delivering/picking up material to/ from our facilities, customers, and vendors within the scheduling parameters set forth by the coordinating personnel.

Expected Results: Driver safety, quality and performance standards are met daily, effective and professional communication, pleasant customer and employee interfacing

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to drive and operate a box truck.
  • Must have medical exam certification & clear motor vehicle report.
  • Confirms the accuracy of the delivery/pick up by verifying the items and quantity being delivered/picked up matches the items and quantities on the paperwork.
  • Listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Promptly loads and unloads the truck with pickups and deliveries, including delivering the product inside a customer/vendor’s facility.
  • Issues or obtains required customer/vendor signature on delivery/pickup receipts.
  • Coordinates with the relevant team members for all deliveries/pickups on a daily basis.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the truck.
  • Performs routine maintenance and inspection of the truck.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately as needed.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for relevant departments.
  • Performs normal inventory, shipping and warehouse duties when there is no need for deliveries
  • Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
  • Supports organizational goals and values.
  • Performs other duties as required.
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher degree
  • 6 months logistics driving experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • DOT Testing/Certified

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
