We have over 900 hard-working and passionate employees between our 17 locations. Position Summary The Village Pub Bar Manager is the lead bartender responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks, as well as serving beer and other beverages. The Bar Manager completes transactions, communicates ticket times and potential problems to servers as necessary, provides the highest quality of service to guests and associates at all times, and performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age Must be able to obtain Sheriff's card, Health card and Alcohol Awareness card (In some locations) Must be able to obtain/pass additional Gaming Control Board Background checks Requires at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Must have cash handling experience using basic math skills Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions Essential Functions Greets guests and take orders in a timely fashion Provides information about products and looks for opportunities to 'up-sell' products Follows recipes and/or product directions for mixing beverages Collects payments and operates cash registers for drinks and/or food served following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions; secures all monies at the end of each shift Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests Follows all customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures Ensures a clean, sanitized, and well stocked bar Prepare and evaluate inventory controls to insure adequate liquor stock Prepare weekly and monthly inventory documentation for all bar related assets Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures Maintains sanitizer buckets and sanitizer logs Must possess a thorough working knowledge of standard business mathematics' including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Be comfortable working with large sums of money Ability to reconcile, process, and allocate daily gaming assets in accordance with company policy including filling ATM and gaming dispensers Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing daily gaming data Summarize location's current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents Maintain accounting controls by strictly adhering to company procedures Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly payroll documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines Ensure one manager from property performs the weekly Friday run to corporate offices Core Values v Service- Personalized, warm, and consistently exceptional customer service v Value- Committed to deliver quality products for great prices v Growth- Promote personal development and growth for all team members v Family- Create a family-like environment by staying close to our guests and our team members v Passion- Work with passion and enthusiasm every day Physical Requirements Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public interaction.
