Share Email Opening Title Clinician  Post Internal Days 0   Category Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC)   Description POSITION TITLE: CLINICIAN, Unaccompanied Children (UC) Services Program DEPARTMENT: Family Support Services REPORTS TO: Lead Clinician, UC Services Program CGS's Unaccompanied Children Services Program serves children/youth presenting a range of challenging behaviors, especially those related to symptoms of trauma. The Program's services are provided by bilingual (Spanish/English) staff who receive specialized training in the special needs of refugee children. The program provides a safe, therapeutic environment in a family-like setting that addresses the requirements of each child/youth in a manner that is sensitive to his or her age; preserves cultural, ethnic and religious heritage; and meets dietary needs, native language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other critical individual needs. Responsibilities The Clinician's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Carry an assigned caseload Conduct mental health assessments Provide ongoing individual and group counseling Screen for human trafficking concerns Provide crisis intervention services Perform ongoing case analysis Participate in ongoing training Participate in case conferences Perform other duties as requested Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency's service population and staff Qualifications LMSW, or Master's degree with corresponding licensure in psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science At least five years of clinical employment experience in this area Knowledge of child welfare/child protective services Experience with Evidence-Based Models Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills Effective communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills Proficiency in Spanish required   Position Requirements Qualifications LMSW, or Master’s degree with corresponding licensure in psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science At least five years of clinical employment experience in this area Knowledge of child welfare/child protective services Experience with Evidence-Based Models Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills Effective communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills Proficiency in Spanish required   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Salary 62,000-67,000   Benefits 15 plus paid holidays, generous PTO, medical, dental and vision benefits, Retirement Benefits, job development, tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment assistance.   Work Location Bronx, NY   Division Unaccompanied Alien Children   About the Organization It is our vocation to serve those in need, to aid those who desire help, and to guide those who seek better lives.
