Description

Direct all aspects of Barrett IT, including governance, technology, information security, and service delivery, to deliver a highly secure, trusted, and resilient IT/OT environment that supports Barrett's strategic business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and maintain the overall IT environment to remain current, fit-for-purpose, and aligned to changing business goals and objectives.
  • Proactively ensure Barrett maintains full compliance with all internal and external IT-related obligations, working collaboratively with the Barrett compliance team, NIOA Group office, and all other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement IT plans, policies, standards, processes, and procedures as required.
  • Assist with IT budget planning and IT cost management.
  • Actively identify and manage IT risk, ensure risk management frameworks and associated practices are in place and effective, and provide reporting as required.
  • Ensure relevant cyber security controls are implemented, monitor their ongoing effectiveness, manage remediation actions, and provide reporting as necessary.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or similar. Master's degree is highly desirable.
  • Contemporary IT certifications. Microsoft and ITSM certifications are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years' hands-on experience administering enterprise-level IT systems, software and services.
  • 5+ years experience administering Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments, including server, desktop, Microsoft 365, and Azure. Familiarity with Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years' IT management experience, having responsibility for IT staff, IT service delivery, and IT project oversight. Project management experience is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years of experience managing IT in a Defense, Government or similar compliance-orientated organisation. Experience in a defense-related manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Achieving and maintaining compliance with various cyber security frameworks and standards such as NIST 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, CMMC, ISO 27001.
  • Cybersecurity governance and operational experience across the areas of protection, detection, response, and recovery, including responsibilities in cyber incident response.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is highly desirable.

Travel

  • Occasional travel required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Maintain valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
