Description
  • Responsible for overall appearance and cleanliness of location.
  • Works well with a team, able to complete daily duties set by management such as but not limited to the following: cleaning restrooms, stocking shelves, emptying/taking out trash, stocking cooler, brewing coffee, sweeping, mopping, operating registers, interaction w/customers, etc.
  • Maximizes store sales by following direction given by Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager/Shift Leader. Assists management to implement merchandising programs and provides information (feedback).
  • Positively contributes to assist store to meet or exceed budgeted goals in areas of cash, shrink/inventory loss, customer service, etc.
  • Complies company policies and procedures.
  • Attends monthly/quarterly meetings with store staff, discussing any store related issues and ideas, improvement of the store, increase store sales, and implement monthly promotions.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and desire for store and company to succeed in all facets of business.
  • Assists with training of new hire associates.
  • Maintains a Customer First attitude, providing great customer service at and follows direction from company and store management.
  • Ensures compliance with requirements by enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, and governmental regulations; reports needed actions/resources and/or compliance/requirement opportunities to the Store Manager.
  • Implements non-discriminatory related skills while training and working with employees.
  • Helping management to develop salespeople to become invested in their location.
  • Executes programs to maintain inventory control installed by Store Manager/District Manager.
  • Helps to ensure execution of all security, mystery shop, in-stock, health and safety programs while on duty.
  • Completes shift duties and records completed items in company program.
  • Conducts a store walk upon arrival and directly before leaving to help identify and prioritize duties and objectives for management and/or associates, taking actions on immediate need items based on walk.
  • Keeps all monies/currency secure.
  • Operates a cash register/POS unit to company expectations.
  • Positively interact with customers, fellow sales associates, management, vendors, etc.
  • Required to plus sell, suggestive sell and/or up sell customers every transaction.
  • Participates in Shrink Investigations, whether at assigned store or requested by District Manager, cooperating and identifying opportunities.
  • Assists implementation of marketing plans and initiatives by working with other team members.
  • Enforces all policies, regulations and procedures for all age verification products.
  • Secures and protects all company assets (inventory, property, cash, lottery, etc.) by adhering to responsibilities, job description, safety regulations, etc.
  • Able to stand/stay on feet for long periods of time.
  • Clean and maintain cleanliness standards set by company both inside and outside of store.
  • Helps Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager to identify, communicate and resolve any maintenance issues in the required time frame.
  • Support branded partners programs, creating excitement and a culture of success.
  • Job duties may change with or without notification.
