Summary
The Business Systems Developer is responsible for taking TriCore’s internal systems projects/programs and reports from design and development to production and support, relating to both new system development and enhancements to existing systems. The Business Systems Developer collects system requirements from end-users, and works with the team to define project scope and set project milestones and deadlines. The Business Systems Developer is also responsible for maintaining quality control and performing unit/system testing of their projects throughout the development process, and provide end-user application training activities and support as needed. In addition to development tasks, the Business Systems Developer is a primary support contact and resolves support requests submitted by end users.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with end-user groups to define new or enhance existing business system software and reports and coordinate testing and review with affected groups prior to deployment
- Development and updates of internal applications and Microsoft SSRS-based reports
- Provide end-user support for internal applications and processes via the support ticketing system
- Manage small to mid-scale business system development projects
- Research technology options and capabilities, and recommend solution designs, tools or updates that align with the company’s technology direction
- Create end-user business system support documentation such as user guides, quick reference sheets, and application walkthrough recordings.

To qualify for this position, an individual must be able to perform each of the primary duties and responsibilities and meet educational and experience requirements. The individual must have strong communication and people skills and be capable of interacting professionally with others having varying levels of technological knowledge. The individual must be able to self-manage and balance time between project work, support issues, and daily operations tasks. The individual must be able to work both as a team member and independently as the situation requires and provide constructive input in meetings with users and team members throughout the system development lifecycle.
B.S. in Computer Science preferred along with 1+ years of professional experience developing web applications using Angular/C#/.NET Core and Microsoft SQL Server; or in absence of a degree, 3+ years of professional experience developing web applications using Angular/C#/.NET Core and Microsoft SQL server.
Will also consinder a college student pursing a B.S. in Computer Science with internship experience and a graduation date in May 2024.
Training/Skills/Abilities
- Professional experience in web application development using Angular, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, Typescript and JavaScript
- Familiarity with other/older technologies including Visual Basic, VBA, ASP.NET
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL including procedure and function development, and query optimization
- Good familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server relating to configuring IIS-hosted applications and scheduled tasks
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) identity services used for authentication within applications
- Familiarity with code version management repository solutions such as Git
- High attention to detail and ability to relate actions with potential impacts to systems
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Capability to self-manage tasks according to priorities and due dates when working on simultaneous projects
This is a hybrid position based out of Racine, WI with a 2-3 day in-office requirement per week.
