ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the General Ledger oversight, which include the accounting areas of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and other general accounting duties and as it relates to the operation.

Job Specific Competencies:
- Accounting
- Provides procedures and internal controls necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services
- Issues timely and complete financial support analysis to various departments; and issues periodic reports to respective departments as well
- Analyzes and directs periodic physical inventories together with other statistical and routine reports and evaluation
- Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals.
- Collaboration
- Coordinates and adheres to policies, procedures, relationships and activities within the organization's financial position, and issues periodic reports to respective departments
- Participates in and helps the preparation for external audits and tax requirements
- Establishes and maintains good relational contacts with parent company, partnering accounting firms and financial institutions
- Legal Compliance
- Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
- General ledger journals entries, account reconciliation: minimum of 3 years;
- Manufacturing with inventory, Cost of Goods Sold experience
- Strong Mathematical and analytical skills
- Good control of verbal and written English;
- Ability to apply logical reasoning
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Working Conditions
Movement
- This position needs to frequently sit, move about inside the office. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Operate/Use
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
Ascend/Descend
- Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files

- This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

- This position occasionally lifts or moves 25 pounds, rarely moves up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Relatively quiet but fast paced.
