Job Overview

Davies Claims North America is looking for a full-time Clerical Support person who is interested in learning and working in the exciting and fast-paced insurance claims industry. The right person will be focused on detail, have a customer-centric philosophy, and have the desire to develop themselves both personally and professionally. Reporting to the Clerical Lead, you will provide clerical assistance while exercising discretion with sensitive information.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate an exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills, and possess superb communication skills, both verbal and written, conducted in a timely manner. You must have a High School diploma and demonstrate proficiency with data entry. Additionally, you will need to capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision. This role is a full-time, onsite position based out of Lakewood Ranch, FL.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Capability of answering and transferring phone calls
  • Input data as requested
  • Assist with scanning documents as needed
  • Assist with indexing, file management, and Workers’ Compensation faxes
  • Provide backup for FROI entry
  • Demonstrate the ability to assist with purge and special projects

Experience and Qualifications
Required

  • High School diploma
  • Proficiency with data entry
  • Proven capability to utilize computers and software platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to answer and transfer phone calls
  • Processing of mail on a daily basis
  • Provide clerical assistance to adjusting staff and/or teammates
  • Maintain workflow requirements
  • Complete index inquiries as requested

Preferred

  • College degree

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is an onsite, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates from a professional office-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.  While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk.  This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand, as necessary.

Position Requirements
