The Impact You'll Have:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Traffic Group as a Traffic Data Collector. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying traffic counting cameras, processing video data, and performing various modest office tasks. The position requires a willingness to work outdoors in all seasons, with a variable weekly schedule ranging from 5 to 20 hours, typically averaging around 15 hours per week. The scheduled shifts are provided approxiamately a week in advance with the exception of project driven deadlines.

Responsibilities:
Camera Installation and Maintenance:

  • Set up and install traffic counting cameras at designated locations (company vehicle provided from office to site location)
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the cameras
  • Video Data Processing:
  • Retrieve and process video content from cameras
  • Ensure accurate and timely extraction of relevant information for traffic analysis

Outdoor Work:

  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and seasons to install and maintain cameras
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in outdoor environments

Office Tasks:

  • Assist with basic office tasks such as data entry, filing, and document organization
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide project updates

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of camera installations, maintenance activities, and video processing tasks
  • Compile data and generate reports as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class D driver's license with acceptable driving record required
  • Basic understanding of video recording equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variable work schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors and near roadways in various weather conditions

Work Schedule:

  • Weekly hours may vary between 5 and 20, with an average of around 15 hours per week
  • Flexibility to accommodate project demands and seasonal variations
