To plan, instruct, and organize instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their spiritual, educational, and social development to lay a foundation in music.  Position for 2024/2025 School Year Salary Base begins - $37,000.00  Years of classroom experience will add to the base  Masters and Ph.D. will be added to the base     Position Requirements EDUCATION, LICENSING, AND TRAINING: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in area being taught Degree in education or other education courses and knowledge of the subject matter   Preferred: Knowledge of musical structure, form, and terminology Correct Vocal Production Skills Working knowledge of developmentally appropriate repertoire Aural training to detect discrepancies in pitch and intonation Basic Piano Skills Minimum classroom experience - student teaching Classroom experience in teaching Chorus is desired ACSI Certified within two years of hiring CPR/First Aid certified MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony (Galatians 5:22-23) Demonstrates a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3, Ephesians 2:8-9) Active participation in a local Bible-believing church Ability to apply Biblical solutions to problems Personal integrity and self-motivation in the fulfillment of WCA mission Speak, read, and write English fluently Must be able to read and write cursive Desire for continued career improvement A calling to Christian education and a love for students Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team Ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, and telecommunication   Location Main Campus   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   EOE Statement Wake Christian Academy does not discriminate, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, gender, genetic testing, protected veteran status or military status, citizenship, disability, national or ethnic origin   This position is currently accepting applications.
