Early Psychosis Intervention Care (EPIC) Team Lead

Purpose:

The purpose of the Early Psychosis Intervention Care Team Lead position is to be responsible for coordination of the Early Psychosis Intervention Care (EPIC) Team serving individuals (15-36) experiencing First Episode Psychosis. Team Lead provides psychoeducation and support to family systems for the purpose of improving comprehension, resiliency, and coping skills. Engages the community in education about psychosis to build connections and foster referrals. This position reports to the Director of Specialty Services and works within the Transitional Aged Youth Team.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage Coordinated Specialty Care program, including administrative services and quality management
  • Screen, assess, and recruit individuals and family members for the program
  • Provide psychoeducation and support to family systems through modularized Family Education Program
  • Lead weekly team meetings to review progress, obstacles, and goals for each participant
  • Program development to include marketing, education, and community outreach
  • Obtain and complete assessments, data entry, and analysis for submission of Quarterly Reviews to Kansas Department for Aging and Disability services
  • Monitor areas of grant funding to promote barrier reduction, staff development, and client engagement
  • Monitors data collection and reports outcomes to the agency and KDADS
  • Present and represent the program at mental health conferences as well as board and stakeholder meetings
  • Coordinate services across Wyandot organizations, primarily but not limited to children and young adult services
  • Serve as liaison for community Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Recovery program
  • Complies with all relevant center policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as deemed appropriate by immediate supervisor or designate.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the human services field, with emphasis in social work, psychology, rehabilitation or related field. Must have current licensure by the KS Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board such as an LMSW, LMFT, LPC, LMLP LCP, OR LSCSW.
  • Skilled at coordinating with colleagues and representatives of other agencies
  • Knowledge about developmental stages and issues impacting youth and young adults
  • Engagement and outreach skills to establish relationships with individuals, families, and community partners
  • Ability to communicate directly and effectively with both written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for helping individuals new to illness and patience within stages of change
  • Experience with grant and program development preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and after hours coverage, as needed
  • Knowledgeable about working effectively with diverse cultural and ethnic populations
  • Ability to initiate and develop solutions in clinical and other job related situations
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Clearance through Kansas Child Abuse/Neglect Register and criminal background check through Validity Screening Solutions and Medicaid/Medicare Reimbursable inquires
