Electrical Project Manager / Estimator
Prism Electric, Inc. is one of the largest open-shop electrical contracting companies in Texas. Prism has expertise with projects in virtually every arena of electrical service and construction, including commercial, industrial / manufacturing, healthcare and institutional markets.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for performing the following duties in a variety of ‘end-user’ client environments:
Estimate / design and manage electrical projects ranging from $10,000 to $1 million
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, resulting in trust and long term, repeat business opportunities
Ability to identify clients electrical needs and develop / design NEC compliant solutions that will meet current and future needs
Ensure open and effective communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, etc
Perform accurate and timely estimates using Accubid software
Present scope & pricing in concise, detailed proposals
When required, develop, submit and gain AHJ approval of drawings, load calculations, etc
Negotiate with clients and suppliers when necessary to arrive at an equitable outcome
Effectively oversee and manage all facets of projects, including but not limited to: schedules, labor / material budgets, subcontractors, etc
Ensure overall success and profitability of projects
Ensure that all work is completed according to Prism safety and quality standards
Perform all facets of job with the highest standard of ethics at all times
Must be highly organized and detailed in all areas of responsibility
Must have strong multitasking skills
Must have extensive knowledgeable of NEC and local AHJ requirements
