JOB SUMMARY:

VinFast vehicle diagnostics engineers will support in debugging and verification of fixes to our vehicle software or hardware. The engineer will be able to work with software based diagnostic tools such as Vector CANOE or similar CAN based data logging equipment. The engineer will be tasked with reproducing reported issues, gathering the necessary information and logs to create a JIRA ticket to help the Vietnam based R&D team understand the issue and develop a solution. The engineer will work with vehicle technicians to configure the test vehicles with proper software and hardware baselines to validate the issues, service readiness feedback, and early training on emerging technical support issues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Handle diagnosis requests in a structured and timely manner using JIRA to track issues
  • Reproduce reported issues and gathering the necessary information to submit to our Vietnam R&D team
  • Support in debugging and verification of fixes to our vehicle software or hardware
  • Utilize Vector CANOE, VFlash or INCA ETAS CAN data logging systems
  • Work with technicians, using OBD based diagnostics tools, to resolve vehicle system issues based on DTCs reported.
  • Understand software release planning cycles and version control

 

 

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Powertrain, Modern High Voltage EV power systems or ADAS systems
  • Technical automotive background, a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Electric Vehicles, a plus
  • Proven ability to lead by example and be innovative with processes and efficiencies
  • Problem solving initiative to fix problems when they arise, and understand the root causes
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Valid Driving License
  • Perform and lead well under pressure
  • Proficient in vehicle CAN analysis and flashing tools such as Vector Canoe and VFlash, a plus
  • Experience using issue tracking tools such as JIRA and fleet management software to identify vehicle system software versions or update success.
