Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Staff Accountant  Description The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and will be working within the Accounting Department to oversee the company's financial operations. The Staff Accountant will manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the accounting department including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash flow, revenue, and expenditure variance analysis. Essential Functions Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing processes. Performing general bookkeeping and organizing financial forms, documents, and receipts. Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain and oversee fixed assets and record depreciation. Support creation of Sales tax returns (State & Local) through creation of schedules and reconciliations required primary responsibility for preparation of tax reporting package. Identify and implement initiatives for efficiencies in processes. Other special projects as needed. Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.   Position Requirements Required Skills Experience with companies operating in multiple states Understanding of accounting procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices Attention to detail Excellent communication skills Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of experience in a Staff Accounting role required CPA license is preferred and a plus Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system required High proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Corporate 27   About the Organization Fitness Ventures LLC is a development company, owning CRUNCH Fitness franchise locations and territories throughout the United States that are hugely successful and provide the communities they serve with all of the amenities of a much more expensive club-and a warm friendly environment that is hard to find in the majority of fitness clubs in North America.
