JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Collision Manager will operate as the liaison between Global Engineering and field application regarding collision repair to VinFast vehicles. This role will be the technical subject matter expert, leading the VinFast Collision department. This position will identify and resolve field issues and support the execution and evolution of the collision strategy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Onboard all VinFast approved Collision Centers
  • Provide external training, as needed, for continued development, striving for excellent customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with leadership and Global Engineering for repair methodology strategies
  • Body repair technical specialist that solves escalations at external certified collision centers
  • Root cause body repair field issues and report findings to Global Engineering Team
  • Address collision center concerns with highest level of response and attention through various means of external and internal communication paths
  • Provide required reporting to leadership within defined frequencies
  • Operate as a subject matter expert for collision equipment field applications
  • Travel based on business needs
  • Comply with all VinFast US safety directives and company standards
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Certificate or Degree from Vocational School in collision a plus
  • 8+ years experience as a Structural Body Technician; shop floor experience, preferred; EV experience a plus
  • Expert working knowledge of collision equipment application – frame measuring equipment, welding, riveting/bonding, body repair, and diagnostic tools
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office and PMO applications
  • Able to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
