Systems Engineer 

Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide systems engineering and programmatic support for the design, integration, and testing of aircraft Landing Systems components, systems and subsystems.
  • Perform critical technical analysis of major related DoD acquisition efforts and provide recommendations to ensure program success.
  • Provide program analysis support for all aspects of the program.
  • Participate as a member of and/or support the overall program and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Work with IPTs to develop technical specifications and acquisition documentation including receive, distribute, review, and coordinate comments written against programmatic and technical documentation from USN and contractor/vendor sources.
  • Coordinate NAVAIR/PMA data calls with the appropriate IPT member(s).
  • Collect, complete, organize and interpret technical data relating to aircraft acquisition, technical design issues, and product programs.
  • Track program/project status, schedule and ensure the submittal and adequate completion of program CDRL submittals.
  • Schedule, invite, record minutes and capture/track actions assigned during program technical meetings.
  • Coordinate programmatic details across multiple NAVAIR PMAs and activities.
  • Assess program risks.
 
Position Requirements
  • Degree: BS Engineering Degree. BSEE preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience desired.
  • Experience with military/DoD aircraft avionics systems, interfaces, and power requirements is desired. DoD Landing System and/or Navigation System experience is a plus.
