Bolton & Menk is looking to add a GIS Support Specialist to our team. We are looking to add a GIS Support Specialist who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in a Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Community!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide technical support, training and documentation on GIS Software and mapping-grade GPS equipment related issues of moderate to advanced complexity across multiple facility locations.
- Keeps up to date on technical and software issues affecting Company software applications and related system operations and user interaction with those operations.
- Serves as GIS Technician on an as needed basis.
- Travel to facilites and other project-related locations as necessary.
Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of the GIS software environment, and participates in the development and customization of workflows, processes and production standards.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of related GIS experience
- Skilled knowledge and skills in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server and application related extensions
- Thorough knowledge in Microsoft office Suite. (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of web-based GIS services and mapping
- Requires a Driver's License or Public Transportation as may travel to various facilities and job sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software including Microsoft SQL
- Developing knowledge of data analytics, advanced data visualization techniques and Big Data
- Developing knowledge of data management within Relational Database Management Systems
