Bolton & Menk has an opportunity for a Senior Transit Engineer to join our expanding team. What you will be doing:
In this role, you will lead or oversee transit engineering studies, preliminary designs, final designs, technical specifications and cost estimating related to bus rapid transit, streetcar, light rail, and multimodal/active transportation projects. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects that will include delivering a range of individual projects and delivering specific deliverables on larger transportation improvement projects and studies.
You will have a hardworking team around you including project managers, engineers, planners, landscape architects, technicians, and others to deliver multidisciplinary projects with a transit or multimodal component.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Civiling Engineerinigfrom an accredited college
- Licenesed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 12 years of progressive design/and or complext construction eperience preferred
- 6 or more years of progressively responsible transit experience or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices with an emphasis on transit and multi-modal transportation.
- Working knowledge of federal transportation project processes and requirements.
- Working knowledge of transitway project development.
- Working knowledge of MMUTCD and Highway Capacity Manual
- Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
- Must possess a valid drivers license. Travel will be required.
