Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team in Patterson, VA. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing high-quality care to our valued patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during procedures by anticipating their needs and maintaining a sterile and organized environment
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following established protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified)
- Perform office duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and post-treatment care
- Uphold infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
- Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience preferred
- X-ray certification (if applicable)
- Proficiency in dental software systems (preferred but not required; training provided)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients
