This position requires knowledge of the mortgage process, attention to detail and ability network with clients and referral sources with a professional and friendly manner. The Mortgage Sales Assistant is often the voice of Stamford Mortgage Company. The day-to-day activities include the following: Answering phones, fielding questions from clients, realtors and attorneys and directing to the right person, as needed. Assisting clients with getting onboard with new applications and when help is needed during the mortgage process. This includes being able to explain a Loan Estimate of Closing Disclosure at times when the Loan Officer is away from the office Follow up calls to client after Next Steps email and Conditional Approval goes out to make sure they are clear on what is needed and what deadlines need to be observed. Providing updates to realtors and attorneys as milestones are reached during the process Expediting paperwork that is needed under deadline. This includes making a call to client when they have repeated questions. Monitor the pipeline for mortgage contingency and closing deadlines Assist with files approaching MC deadline Follow up with attorneys to get Closing Disclosure issued on time   Position Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent work experience. 5+ years relevant experience in mortgage process. Requires excellent communication skills Knowledge of processing and underwriting requirements Ability to problem solve Attention to detail and organization QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
