The Guest Services Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to all
Montpelier visitors as they tour the historic site. The Guest Services Associate's primary focus
will be all front line operations including the sale of Montpelier Museum Shop merchandise, tour
ticketing and reservations, membership sales and general visitor assistance. All Guest Services
staff should be able to provide current information about Montpelier's daily tour and special
event schedule, Museum Shop merchandise, Montpelier memberships, and helpful advice about
touring the grounds.
DUTIES
Maintain working knowledge of all tour operations, logistics and brief content of daily tours both standard and specialty.
Maintain working knowledge of basic information on the Madisons and plantation.
Sale of Musuem Shop merchandise.
Sale of daily tour tickets and Montpelier memberships.
Provide friendly and helpful service to all Montpelier visitors, both in person and on the phone.
Provide clear wayfinding directions to guests.
Maintain working knowledge of ticketing and retail software.
Stock, maintain and clean the retail sales floor.
