Job Title: Studio R.O.C.K.S. On-Call Teacher 

Program: OST

Classification: On-Call- Non Exempt

Wage: $17/h

Location: All sites; Washington, DC; MD

Reports to: OST Manager                                                                                         

 

Job Summary:

The Studio R.O.C.K.S On-call Teacher will work in collaboration with the Studio R.O.C.K.S Leadership Team and Community Education & Engagement program. The position will facilitate teaching curriculum and engage in the before and after school extended learning program.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor students' progress on literacy and math software via the teacher's portal.
  • Communicate with parents on student progress on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide drop-off pick-up services to all feeder school students.
  • Input daily attendance and all meal count as needed.
  • Leading class in the implementation of lessons and facilitation of project-based learning in age-appropriate ways.
  • Follows proper student dismissal procedures.
  • May be responsible for administering snack/ supper as needed
  • Exhibit competency in working with diverse populations and respect for different points of view.
  • Provide support and supervision for student activities.
 
Position Requirements

Key qualifications:

  • 1-2 years working with school-age children and youth.
  • High School Diploma required, CDA preferred
  • Microsoft Office- proficient
  • First Aid certificate
  • CPR certificate
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish / Spanish-English) highly preferred
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • Be available to work on an on-call basis to accept daily, weekly, and/or long-term opportunities.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team setting

Expected Work Hours

A maximum of 40 hours a week.

Travel

Some traveling is expected for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
