Position Description:

The QA Specialist/Data Analyst aggregates and provides data reports for the Unaccompanied Children program and conducts routine record reviews to ensure the quality of practice and compliance with all regulations and performance expectations of the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and the relevant regulations of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Conduct routine record reviews of electronic records in the ORR portal;
  2. Collect data and report on specific quality measures required by the above regulatory and oversight agencies;
  3. Run and distribute reports on a regular schedule and on an as needed basis;
  4. Under the guidance and direction of the PMMI Director, develop and implement continuous quality improvement activities;
  5. Participate in preparation meetings with the direct supervisor to ensure accurate data aggregation and analysis;
  6. Run and prepare reports in preparation for ORR/FSS reviews and audits;
  7. Partner with key stakeholders to inform design of data collection and reporting systems and KPI dashboard;
  8. Monitor for quality, consistency and timeliness of data reporting for export to data visualization and electronic platforms;
  9. Work with program management to support audit preparation and response.

 
Position Requirements
  1. Commitment to program excellence;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in research and analysis, quality assurance, or related area;
  3. Proficiency in the use of computer applications; Tableau, Excel
  4. Ability to participate in the development and identification of appropriate output metrics;
  5. Prior experience with ORR Unaccompanied Children programs a plus;
  6. Attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  7. Ability to handle multiple assignments;
  8. Willingness to work as part of a team process.
