Manager, Outpatient Therapy Services - Adult 

Description

Purpose: Responsible for supervision of Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Clinicians. Will assist team members to provide exceptional service to clients by achieving all agency standards. Responsible for overseeing the adult outpatient therapy department, including mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) therapy, work collaboratively with the Manager of Intake and SUD services to co-manage mental health and SUD clinicians.

Accountabilities:

  • Completes weekly clinical supervision for the team and each team member.
  • Provides weekly group supervision during team meetings.
  • Assures that services being provided are appropriate to the client’s needs and adheres to evidence based practices.
  • Monitors team members to help them achieve productivity, deliver quality services and record services in a timely manner.
  • Works with team members to ensure services are provided to clients in a timely manner.
  • Participates in treatment planning for adults and familes in services.
  • Provides supervision and support to staff who conduct assessments, referral, mental health therapy and outpatient substance use disorder services.
  • Works with collaboratively with the Senior Director to ensure department goals are met.
  • Provides live supervision for clinicians on a minimum of a quarterly basis.
  • Serves as crisis support to clients as needed.
  • Represent Wyandot Center on appropriate agency committees.
  • Participates in the interview process for potential therapists.
  • Manages the therapy referral list and ensures that clients are assigned to the appropriate service following the agency guidelines.
  • Clearance through the Kansas Child Abuse/Neglect Register and criminal backgrou check.
  • Must be able to safely perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications:

Education: Licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QMHP), and possess minimum academic credentials for Medicaid outpatient reimbursement for practice at the Center. Must have advanced clinical license or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire. Must have dual licensure as a Licensed Master’s Level Addiction Counselor (LMAC).

Experience:

  • Familiarity with evidence based practices for treatment needs of clients and their families.
  • At least 2 years experience providing mental health therapy and substance use treatment services to adults.
  • Must be knowledgeable of best practices regarding Substance Use Disorder services.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Display organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to initiate and develop solutions in clinical, personnel, and other job related situations.
  • Ability to provide appropriate clinical and personnel supervision.
  • Ability to provide direction for programming and planning purposes.
  • Ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences.
  • Ability to provide direction for programming and planning purposes, specifically around SUD treatment.
  • Must be able to safely perform essential job functions, with or without, reasonable accommodations.
